Working With Me

I help businesses understand where they are, decide what matters next, and turn those decisions into action.

There doesn't have to be something broken. There just has to be something worth improving.

Find opportunities worth pursuing!

Customer Acquisition Systems

I work across the entire customer acquisition system rather than treating marketing as a collection of separate channels.

That means understanding the business objective and cutomer journey.

The goal isn't to create more marketing activity. It's to make better decisions about where effort, money and attention should go.

Wherever You Are, We Start There

There is no standard starting point.

  • You might have a strong product but inconsistent growth.

  • A capable marketing team but too many competing priorities.

  • A channel that works but you're unsure how far to scale it.

  • Plenty of customers but little understanding of what happens next.

  • Or you might simply feel that the business could be doing more.

We start by understanding the business, the customer, what's already happening and where the opportunities appear to be.

Then we decide what matters.

How We Work Together

The relationship is built around a simple operating rhythm:

  1. The first stage is understanding the business and identifying where the opportunities are.

  2. From there, we establish priorities and turn them into focused work.

  3. We review what happened, learn from it and decide what should happen next.

The work is ongoing, but the focus changes as the business changes.

How Ideas Become Work

There is always more that could be done than there is capacity to do it.

That's why I separate the backlog, roadmap and sprint.

  • BACKLOG: Everything worth considering. The backlog is always open.

  • ROADMAP: The longer-term direction. It gives us a view of where we're going without pretending we know everything that will happen along the way.

  • SPRINT: What we're actually doing now. The sprint provides focus and protects the work from constant reprioritisation.

The backlog is endless. The roadmap provides direction. The sprint provides focus.

You bring the capability to execute. I bring the capability to know what should be executed.

I'm not there to become your marketing department. I'm there to make your existing capability more effective.

You bring the people, platforms, budget and technical capability needed to execute. I bring the thinking, perspective, experience and direction.

Where specialist execution is needed, I can help identify what capability is required, brief it and review the work.

The goal is to make the organisation stronger, not dependent on me.

AI Is an Enabler, Not the Offering.

I don't sell AI. I use it to make the work better.

AI can help us see more, think faster, test more ideas, automate repetitive work and connect information that would otherwise stay fragmented.

But judgement still matters.

  • Start manually.

  • Learn what works.

  • Standardise the repeatable parts.

  • Automate where it creates leverage.

Keep human judgement where it matters most. Don't build the perfect system. Build the smallest useful system, prove that it creates value, then improve it.

A Relationship, Not a Package.

There is one service: Customer Acquisition Systems

I don't sell predefined packages, hours or timesheets. The work is month-to-month because the business doesn't stop changing after a fixed project ends.

The level of involvement depends on the business, the opportunity and what needs to happen. Commercial scale and opportunity provide the context for whether that investment makes sense.

Selective by Design.

I work with a small number of businesses.

The right fit usually has something worth growing, the ambition to grow it, and the willingness to invest in finding the right way to do it.

I work particularly well with:

  • funded or growing businesses

  • owner-led or founder-led companies

  • lean marketing teams

  • businesses with capable people but limited senior direction

  • Heads of Marketing who need additional perspective

  • businesses entering a new stage of growth

  • companies selling across markets or into Europe

It doesn't have to be a perfect business. But there needs to be something worth building, improving or scaling.
